The Wild are one of the best teams in the league this year, while the Ducks show promise with a lot of young talent. However, both teams will be missing multiple important players due to injuries. It will be hard for either team to produce high scores consistently which bodes well for the under. Especially given the goalie matchup tonight between Filip Gustavsson for the Wild and John Gibson for the Ducks. Gustavsson is in a close race with Hellebuyck for the Vezina posting a remarkable 2.04 GAA and .929 SV%. As for Gibson, he is having his best season since 2017-18 with a 2.57 GAA and .915 SV%. The performance of the goalies has led to the 1st and 12th-ranked defenses at preventing goals, with the Wild only allowing 2.32 goals per game. Further supporting a low-scoring game has been the Ducks' ineffective offense that ranks 29th in goals per game and the Wilds' above-average 12-ranked offense not at full strength. Expect a low-scoring game in this matchup given the injuries and goalies in the net.
