The Flames have done better in both metrics being 9th in goals against and 23rd in goals for, while the Islanders sit at 13th and 25th. While both teams have done well at limiting opposing goals their PK units are some of the worst in the league, with the Flames ranked 27th and the Islanders 29th. There isn't much that separates these teams, with the Flames having performed slightly better in most metrics. However, tonight the goalies will be the real difference. Dustin Wolf has performed great this year for the Flames with a 2.53 GAA and .921 SV%, while Semyon Varlamov hasn't, producing a 2.86 GAA and .892 SV%. Given the Flames' better overall performance this year and the favorable goalie matchup, expect them to come out on top at home.
