The Rays Opening Day starter allowed just 1 hit (solo HR) on 55 pitches through 5 innings against TOR before unraveling and losing the zone in the 6th. He would finish the day with 5 strikeouts. It was his first start of the season and he should be better stretched out today. Eflin had a 3.3 ERA at Home in 2023 and a 10.4 K/9. He went Over 5.5 K's in 12 of his 18 home starts last year and never went under in back-to-back starts. As good as TEX's offense is they're middle of the pack in strikeouts per game.

Buying Shane Bieber with his Velo Jump. He was clocking in at 94-95 while racking up 11 K's in his 2024 debut. That's what he was pumping when he won the Cy Young in 2020 and had a 14.2 K/9. It was against Oakland but the Mariners currently have the worst Strikeout % in MLB at 31.2%. Bieber has a career road ERA of 2.93 ERA and a 10.3 K/9. Bieber also has a career 2.68 ERA vs Seattle (6 Starts) and a 1.9 ERA at Seattle (4 Starts).
