Great value on the best pitcher in baseball over the last few weeks. Eovaldi hasn’t allowed a run in 3 straight starts. Pitched a complete game against the Yankees, went 8 innings @ LAA, then 8.2 @ OAK. Doesn’t get much more dominant than that. He’s also working with an extra day off for this start. Help with arm fatigue. Offensively the Braves have struggled a bit. Outside of a 12-run eruption that started vs a rookie making his MLB debut, they’re averaging just 2.6 runs per game in their last 5. Rangers best bullpen arms are all available too.

ATL’s SP Spencer Strider is as good as any but he does have a 3.78 ERA through 3 May Starts. The Rangers rank second in baseball averaging 6.21 runs per game and are 1st at home at 6.35. The Rangers are 8-3 in their L11 overall and 5-2 L7 home games. They’re also 11-4 L15 vs ATL and 7-2 L9 vs ATL at home. Braves are just 1-5 L6 overall and 1-4 L5 road trips. Texas is 13-7 at home in 2023.
