6:40PM EST: Marlins ML +140 (4 Units).

Sandy Alcantara looked great in his return from a lengthy Tommy John surgery. He allowed 2 ER on 2 hits and 4 walks vs PIT in his 2025 debut. His command will only improve as the season goes on but this elite stuff was there from the jump. The Mets offense is off to a rough start, hitting .185 with a .660 OPS. 7 of their 15 runs scored came in just 1 inning. In 177 career plate appearances the Mets have a .224 BA against Alcantara. The Mets two best hitters are Pete Alonso and Juan Soto. In 32 Career AB's vs Alcantara Alonso has a .156 BA and .614 OPS. In 38 career AB's Soto has a .289 BA and .860 OPS. Good numbers for Soto but a significantly lower OPS than his career average.

The Marlins offense hasn't been great either, but a .253 BA and .725 OPS is good for 13th and 16th. NYM SP Kodai Senga is returning from injury and made just 3 spring training starts. He's been relatively sharp but hasn't faced live batters since March 20th. He hasn't thrown more than 59 pitches and they'll be a bit more cautious with him returning from an injury that limited him to just 1 start in 2024.

7:40PM EST: White Sox ML +145 (3 Units).

MIN SP Simeon Woods Richardson allowed 6 earned runs on 9 hits and 3 walks in his final spring training start. In 3 careers starts vs the CWS (all in 2024) he has a 4.26 ERA and a WHIP of 2.053. The current White Sox roster has a .417 BA against him on 27 career plate appearances.

CWS SP Shane Smith will make his MLB debut. He struggled in his first spring training start but didn't allow a run in 3 March starts. He combined for 9 IP, 10 K's, a .133 opponent BA, and a .56 WHIP. He has a career 2.69 ERA in the minors. He likely won't be asked to pitch too deeply but the White Sox bullpen is pitching well. Their bullpen is 5th with a 2.08 ERA and only 1 White Sox reliever has thrown twice in the last 4 days. The Twins offense is also dead last in BA, OBP, and OPS so far this season. If Smith can settle his nerves the White Sox could shut Minnesota down today.

9:40PM EST: Guardians ML +145 (3 Units).

It’s all about consistency for Logan Allen early in his career and he provided it in Spring Training. In 6 spring appearances he posted a 1.89 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP and .219 opponent BA. Padres have a decent .244 BA and .728 OPS vs Lefties on a small sample size early, but they finished 19th with a .690 OPS vs LHP in 2024. They also lost Jurickson Profar in free agency, one of their best LHP hitters from last year.

SD SP Michael King hasn't been sharp in 2025. He allowed 3 runs in 2 separate spring starts on 2.2 and 4 IP. He opened the 2025 season allowing 3 ER on 4 hits and 4 walks on 2.2 IP. Cleveland's bats have been productive through the early going, hitting .258 with an .810 OPS.

10:05PM EST: A's ML +115 (3 Units).

Luis Severino tossed 6 shutout innings while allowing just 3 hits at Seattle to open the season. He allowed just 1 run on 5.1 IP in his final spring training start. At his best he's a frontline Ace and that's exactly what he was for the majority of 2024 with the Mets. CHC SP Justin Steele has an 8.0 ERA after allowing 5ER in his debut vs the Dodgers and 3 ER vs the Diamondbacks. He likely locks in before long, but he's giving up the long ball at the moment. He's allowed 3 in 2 regular season starts and 4 in 3 spring training starts. That long ball is where most of the A's production comes from. The A's were also significantly better vs LHP in 2024 and currently have a .500 BA and 1.445 OPS vs LHP in 2025. That's on just 11 plate appearances. They were 5th in OPS vs LHP in spring though.
