Gausman has a 2.35 ERA over his last 5 starts. The Tigers offense has been abysmal since the break, slashing .193/.254/.547 and scoring just 15 runs through 8 games. They've lost 5 straight and 9 of their last 10 games. Tarik Skubal is a streak stopper but he's been much more human at Home. He's allowed 4 runs in 2 of his last 3 home starts. Toronto also leads the league in BA and are 2nd in OPS since the Break. The Blue Jays also have a much better bullpen and they're considerably fresher.

LP: C. Horton (CHC) / A. Civale (CWS).

Cubs SP Cade Horton has a 6.35 ERA in 6 road games (5 starts). He's allowed 3 runs or more in all but one of those appearances. The exception coming at Miami. The White Sox have the hottest bats in baseball and they blasted Imanaga for 7 runs on 3 IP last night. They've now scored 7 or more in 6 of 7 games since the All-Star Break. CWS SP Aaron Civale has a 4.66 ERA in 7 starts since being traded to the White Sox. He's been okay but boasts great career numbers against the Cubs. In 53 career plate appearances they have a .175 xBA and .246 wOBA vs Civale. With yesterday's blowout the White Sox used just one of their 5 hot relievers (yesterday's post). Civale doesn't need to provide length and likely doesn't face the Cubs lineup for a 3rd time.
