4 Picks (13 Units)
2:10PM EST: Astros/Twins Under 8 (4 Units).
HOU SP Spencer Arrighetti allowed 1 ER on 1 hit on 6IP vs the Mets in his 2025 debut. His 2nd half success from last season has carrier over. He had a 3.18 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and .226 opponent BA in 12 games after the All-Star Break last year. MIN SP Bailey Ober was sick in his debut and got hammered. He was incredibly sharp in spring, posting a 1.77 ERA in 5 spring starts. He had a 3.98 ERA in 31 starts last season and a 3.43 ERA in 26 starts in 2023. We like him to bounce back here. The Astros have a .200 BA and .562 OPS over the last Week. The Twins have actually been worse, hitting .183 with a .556 OPS.
4:05PM EST: Phillies ML -110 (3 Units).
LAD SP Roki Sasaki has struggled making the transition from Japan. In 2 Starts he's combined to pitch just 4.2 innings allowing 3ER. He's still allowed just 4 hits but he's walked 9 batters. The Phillies are 3rd in both OBP and OPS so far this season. They'll happily take their walks, and Sasaki will have to prove he can command the zone today. Sasaki will inevitably lock in at some point and sooner rather than later but it's a tough spot for it. More likely to come at Home on a Mound he's comfortable with. The MLB baseball is slightly different than Japan's and that's where the command issues stem from.
PHI SP Aaron Nola allowed 5 ER on 5.1 IP at Washington in his first start. He allowed 6 hits and had 1 HBP, no walks. He wasn't sharp but a little bit of tough luck there too. He had a 1.84 ERA in 4 spring starts and has a career 3.21 ERA at Home. He also boasts incredible numbers against this Dodgers roster. In 227 career plate appearances they're hitting just .198 with an xwOBA of .278. Silly numbers against a lineup this talented. We expect the dominant Aaron Nola today.
4:05PM EST: Yankees -1.5 +100 (3 Units).
NYY SP Marcus Stroman allowed 3ER on 4.2 IP at Home in his 2025 debut. He had a 5.31 ERA in 16 Home starts for the Yankees last season so nothing new. He had a 3.09 ERA in 14 games and 13 starts on the road last year though. Considering he was strong for much of Spring, we like a better performance today. In the event he isn't, we like the Yanks offense to mash here regardless.
PIT SP Bailey Falter allowed 2ER on 7 hits on 6IP at Miami in his first start of the season. He didn't walk anyone but that's a miserable Marlins offense. Falter was getting hit pretty good in spring training as well. Allowing a BA of .286 with a 1.5 WHIP in 3 March starts. The Yankees have the #1 offense in baseball, and they've obliterated LHP. They have a .997 OPS on the season but a 1.157 OPS vs LHP.
8:10PM EST: Rockies ML +100 (3 Units).
This is simply a Rockies spot at Home. Both starters pitched very well in their 2025 Debut, but JP Sears did it at Seattle and Marquez did it at Philly. Seattle has a .198 BA and .639 OPS on the season and Philly's hitting .291 with an .846 OPS. Marquez also pitched a 6-inning shutout. The A's are 20th in OPS vs RHP and the Rockies are 16th vs LHP. Colorado started their season with a 6-game road trip with yesterday serving as their Home opener. Their offense doesn't go too long without throwing up a crooked number at Coors Field. They have the most unique and favorable Home Field advantage in baseball. So much so it negatively impacts their performance on the road. Be it Sears or someone struggling out of the bullpen we like the Rockies offense to plate some runs. The A's bullpen hasn't been great and they used their best arms yesterday. Stud Closer Mason Miller has also thrown 2 of the last 3 days. Considering he missed time with an injury last year they could even stay away from him in a save situation tonight.
