TEX SP Tyler Mahle has been so good it's just not sustainable. He has a .68 ERA with an xERA of 2.8. His advanced metrics are all very good but not 1 ER his last 4 starts good. At some point he'll fall victim to baseball being baseball. Even if he is sharp today SF SP Robbie Ray has a 2.45 ERA in 2 Home Starts. He's also allowed 3ER or less in all but 1 of his 5 starts. The Rangers are batting .224 with a .666 OPS vs LHP. Ray is also followed by the 2nd best bullpen in baseball.

PHI SP Jesus Lazardo has been sharp, posting a 2.08 ERA and 2.64 xERA. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits across 7 IP against Miami his last time out and 3 runs on 5.1 IP vs SF the start before that. It's a tough match-up for him today as Chicago leads the league in BA, SLG, and OPS vs LHP. Add in pitching on the road and the Cubs should be able to score a couple runs. CHC SP Ben Brown has allowed 1 run in his last 2 combined starts. He's a fly ball pitcher which doesn't always play at Wrigley but there's cold temps and strong winds blowing in today.
