4 Picks (12 Units)
7:05PM EST: Giants ML +110 (3 Units).
SF SP Robbie Ray has a 3.18 ERA through 2 Starts. He had a 1.86 ERA in Spring Training so he's back to his old self now that he's fully healthy. In 44 career plate appearances vs Ray the Yankees roster has a .162 BA and .191 xBA. NYY SP Marcus Stroman has a 7.27 ERA this year and a 5.6 Career ERA in 28 starts at Yankees stadium. In 88 career plate appearances the Giants have a .273 BA, .273xBA, and a .362 xwOBA vs Stroman. Stroman gets hurt by the long ball at Yankees stadium and the Giants are 2nd in baseball in AB/HR on the road. Their home ballpark is the hardest to homer in which is why their overall season numbers take a hit.
8:10PM EST: Angels ML +125 (3 Units).
LAA SP Jack Kochanowicz broke onto the scene last year and had a 3.99 ERA in 11 Starts. He had a 2.79 ERA in 5 Spring Starts and has a 3.27 ERA through 2 regular season starts. He has the luxury of never facing any Astros hitters before. Houston's 24th in OPS over the last week. HOU SP Ronel Blanco was one of the best pitchers in baseball last year, but he's been off. He posted an 8.44 ERA in 4 Spring Starts and has a 9.45 ERA in 2 regular season starts. The Angels lead the league in OPS in the Month of April and scored 11 runs last night. In 33 career plate appearances they also have a .333 BA vs Blanco.
9:40PM EST: Rockies/Padres Under 7.5 (3 Units).
German Marquez had been oft-injured the past few years but he's healthy for 2025 and pitching well. Through 2 starts he has a 2.45 ERA and a 2.96 xERA. His lone road start came at Philly, tossing 6 shutout frames. Padres are a bit banged up and missing some firepower offensively at the moment. SD SP Nick Pivetta threw a 7 inning 1 hit gem in his first start for the Padres at Home. Then he went on the road to Chicago and got hit around. Early inconsistency isn't uncommon for starters early on. He pitched well most of last season and we like him to produce at home again here. The Rockies offense has struggled this year, even at Home. They always struggle outside Coors and they're 27th in OPS on the road so far this season.
10:10PM EST: Cubs ML +165 (3 Units).
CHC SP Matthew Boyd has yet to allow a run through 2 starts. In limited time for the Guardians last season he had a 2.72 ERA in 8 starts. In 54 career plate appearances the Dodgers have a .184 BA vs Boyd. The Dodgers are 5th in OPS so far this season but drop to 20th vs LHP. The Dodgers offense has also come back down to earth, averaging just 4.1 runs per game in April. That would rank 16th on the season. LAD SP Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a stud with a 1.69 ERA through 3 starts. His xERA is a 2.94 so a little on the lucky side so far. The Cubs offense is 2nd in runs per game on the season and averaging 6.6 runs per game in April. They also have the benefit of having faced Yamamoto on March 18th. The Dodgers have lost 3 of their last 4 and 4 of their last 6. They've dropped each of their last 2 series 1-2 to Philly and Washington.
