Won't get great QB play throughout this game. The Veteran Cooper Rush is projected to start for Dallas but he won't play long before handing it off to Trey Lance. The failed #3 overall pick was traded to the Cowboys before last season. He's struggled throughout camp and it's a big reason Rush won't play much, as his backup spot isn't really threatened. Lance is still learning the offense and less all around talent to work with, we don't expect it to go well. The Rams also drafted 4 defensive lineman, including their 19th and 39th overall pick. Guys who will make an impact day 1, will play in this game, and will make an impact against backup lineman.
QB Stenson Bennett will take most of the snaps for the Rams. He was a 4th round pick in 2023 and struggled in the pre-season last year, throwing just 1 TD to 3 interceptions with a QBR of 59. He lacks the prototypical size and strength for an NFL QB and is fighting for his roster spot. Behind him is Dresser Winn, who was out of football last year after failing to make a CFL roster.
