We've covered this quite a bit this year but again, Villanova is a much, much better basketball team when playing at Home. They've played 4 of the Big East's top 5 teams at Home so far this season, beating St. John's, UConn, and Xavier. The 4th game was a loss to Creighton via 3-PT Game Winning shot. Marquette's the last remaining good Big East team to visit the Pavilion and we like the match-up. Marquette likes to pressure on defense and force turnovers but Villanova's 31st in turnovers per game. The 3-PT Line is also a determining factor. Villanova isn't great defensively and they give up too many 3's, ranking 348th in opponent 3-PT Rate. Marquette's 250th nationally shooting 32.4% from 3 and that's down to 29.5% over their last 3 games. They aren't built to exploit Nova's greatest defensive weakness.
