Michigan really is one of the best teams in College Basketball. Per KenPom they're ranked 11th overall, 14th in offensive and 20th in defensive rating. They lead the nation in FG%, are 34th in 3-PT %, and 11th in assists. They're also up at 69th in 3-PT rate so they aren't padding efficiency at the rim. They lead the nation shooting 63.3% inside the 3-PT line and having two stud Centers will lead to that. It's also the reason they're 18th in rebound rate. Minnesota's 208th in rebound rate, 81st in opponent 2-PT %, and 201st in opponent 3-PT%. Their SOS also ranks 79th compared to Michigan's 27th. The one area Michigan needs to clean up is turnovers, and they will as the season progresses, just a lot of new pieces including their head coach. Fortunately for UM, Minnesota's 268th in opponent turnovers per game though. KenPom has Minnesota ranked 104th overall, 160th in offensive and 93rd in defensive rating. Minnesota's an inferior team and they match-up rather poorly.
