No Lebron for the 2nd straight game but LA actually won without him in the first one. Problem is it was against Portland at Home. They're 3-7 both straight up and against the spread in their last 10 games. They're 2-4 on the road during that span and that includes a 1 point win over the 5-18 Jazz. Minnesota isn't an elite basketball club but they've won 4 of their last 5 games. They lost their last time out in a back-to-back at Golden State. Tall order for even the best ball clubs. This is their first home game since they blew out a Lebron led Lakers team 109-80 on December 2nd. It's Minnesota's defense that we trust to be the difference maker again. They're top 5 in pretty much every major category and they've been dominant, holding 4 of their last 5 opponents to 90, 80, 80, and 92 points. Golden State beat them 114-106 in the back-to-back at Home but the Warriors got hot, sinking 16 3-Pointers. Minnesota actually made more, sinking 19 and that game still totaled just 220 points. Lakers are 18th in 3-PT % and 27th in 3-Point shots made. Just not their game and no Lebron takes away from that even more.
